What a special start to celebrating our 'Festival of Light' week in P1- Each day we are focusing our learning and activities on a different aspect of 'light' and today's theme was 'Be the Light'💫 We talked about what this meant and how we can be the light for others by the kind acts we do...no matter how small we are💖
So the little P1 elves were very busy last week making peppermint creams and special Christmas cards with fingerprint lights✨🎄 Today we got the opportunity to go on a special elf mission up Crumlin village🎅....Our mission? To be the light in our community by distributing our handmade gifts and sharing a little Christmas cheer with our smiles😍 Safe to say the P1 boys and girls achieved their mission 👏We visited the local businesses who work tirelessly all year giving to our community....today we hope we gave a little back💖 Thank you to everyone who greeted us so warmly on our walk and thanks also to the Ulster bank who gave back some kindness in return in the form of chocolate coins😋 It was also great of the Crumlin Hub to let us in to see their excellent work going on as they made up food hampers to help those in need😍 a great learning opportunity for the children about the importance of helping those less fortunate than ourselves. Well done P1...you did yourselves proud💖👏✨
