P4 thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Carrickfergus castle. We started by exploring The Keep and learning some history of how it was built. We got to visit a banquet room and we discussed how they would have preserved their food. However, we didn’t like the sound of their menu. 🦅
We talked about all the different ways you can defend a castle. P4 had to be careful walking down spiral stairs as there was a ‘trip’ step.
Our favourite part was definitely exploring the weapons and armour. 🗡️ P4 loved the opportunity to dress up.
