Primary 5 had a lovely walk to Crumlin Glen today to measure the tree trunks to support our measures topic in numeracy. Now I know what you are thinking, why would we measure tree trunks 🤔? It was to find out how old they were, of course!
The children loved this activity, and when they returned to school, they used calculators to calculate the tree's ages. The oldest tree we found was 87!
