What an exciting afternoon in CIPS🙂 Today the Mayor of Antrim & Newtownabbey Council visited our school to see our wonderful Discovery Garden and Nature area. This sensory garden has been the vision and 'labour of love' of Mrs Corbett, created for and with the children of CIPS over this last year. The children are truly at the heart of this project with engaging and interactive planters designed and created on their own ideas😍 Councillor Webb shared in the delight of our younger pupils as they explored the different themed beds inspired by topics of 'Under the Sea', 'Dinosaurs' and 'Fairytales' as well as playing a few games of 'Tic, tac, toe', 'Jenga' and 'Dominoes'🙂The garden also includes a writing area, textured and scented plants and even an imaginative area complete with a mini football pitch and mini village🙂 This garden is an ongoing work in progress and we can't wait to see what is added next! Mrs Hood and the Eco-council have lots of ideas! As an entire staff we wish to commend Mrs Corbett on all her hard work and dedication in bringing this garden to life and creating such a wonderful area in school that the pupils will be able to enjoy for many years to come😍
