As part of home learning primary 5 have been exploring the children’s book Stick Man by Julia Donaldson. They have listened to the story and watched the animated movie which they all really enjoyed. Having explored Stick Man the children were asked to create a sequel to the book based around the adventures of the Stick Family. They followed the same structure and rhyming pattern used in the original book in their own books and added in new characters who the Stick Family would meet along the way. The finished products were fantastic and I think that we might have some budding authors in our class.
